Overview

The Wings MX2 series from the Austrian manufacturer Angelbird mixes the supposed medium class of the SSDs vigorously. Unlike the commonly used models, the MX2 does not rely on SATA connectors, but on a connection via PCI Express. The two PCIe 2.0 lanes enable a data rate of just under 1 GB / s and this 1,000 GB variant can read data at up to 890 MB / s and write up to 800 MB / s sequentially.
