At the thinnest point, the VZ279Q measures only 7 mm. And the frame is also hardly noticeable due to its narrow design. But the technical side of the screen is also convincing. This ensures 5 ms response time for sharp and streak-free images, even in hectic situations. The LED backlight is simultaneously economical and very luminous. With a horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 178 °, color shifting on the screen is effectively prevented - no matter where and how the user views the image.

The ergonomic design of the VZ279Q screen makes it also interesting for professional use and allows an optimum adjustment of the inclination. The user can thus adjust the viewing angle of the screen individually and comfortably. With the ASUS QuickFit function, the user can show a grid on the screen. This indicates the physically correct size of a document in centimeters or inches without having to be rescaled. Thanks to the QuickFit function, the document is no longer required to be printed.

In view of the slim form factor of the monitor, it is a real challenge to integrate powerful speakers into the VZ279Q. Nevertheless, ASUS specialists have spared no expense and effort and have integrated two 1.5-watt loudspeakers. Sound is guaranteed.

Thanks to the ASCR (ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio) technology and a brightness of 250 cd / m², the background lighting of the display is dynamically adjusted to the respective lighting conditions and the contrast ratio is as high as 80,000,000: 1. Even in extremely dark or bright environments, the picture, especially when playing videos and films, appears optimal and life-like.

Thanks to the HDMI connection, Blu-ray Disc players or game consoles can also be connected to play back Blu-ray content. The VZ249H is also compatible with all media devices that support HDMI, DisplayPort and D-Sub (VGA). In addition, the monitor has a Kensington lock to protect the monitor against theft. The energy consumption is also low in 25 watts in operation and a maximum of 0.5 watts in standby.
