The ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 Expedition O6G has a basestact of 1.569 MHz. With GPU-Boost 3.0 it can be increased to a boost clock of 1.785 MHz. With the GPU Tweak II software, the ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 Expedition O6G can switch to "OC" mode. The OC mode increases the base clock rate to 1,594 MHz and the boost clock to 1,809 MHz. The memory clock is at 4.004 MHz (effectively 8.008 MHz) MHz. For the cooling of the graphics card a dual fan cooling design with black-red cooler cover is used. As the name suggests, this graphics card is particularly well suited for continuous operation and therefore has a 2x longer lifetime.

The GTX-1060 graphics card family supports DirectX 12 and current gaming technologies, including NVIDIA Ansel, GameWorks, Warp, Stereo-X, VR-Audio, PhysX and SMP (Simultaneous Multi-Projection). SMP 4.0 offers great advantages for VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.

Thanks to SMP 4.0, Pascal supports 16 simultaneous viewports, which allow a much more realistic display on several monitors or on curved displays. Especially the gambling in the Virtual Reality (VR) benefits from the new technology, because two viewports can be rendered in one run. By using multiple viewports, the rendered image also comes with a smaller number of calculated pixels.

The GeForce GTX 1060 works with a TDP of only 120 watts and it is recommended to use a power supply with a power of at least 400 watts. The GeForce GTX 1060 has an HDMI 2.0b connector, three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, and a dual-link DVI output. The HDMI port supports HDCP 2.2 and can send and receive encrypted signals.
